Energy Up!
One of the most popular excuses to avoid the beginning of change . . . is:’ I just don’t have the energy!’ followed by a whole supermarket full of reasons why all available energy got already spent. – Well. – Decide. – Continue rambling or decide.
Actually that is the first step of any change: a decision. Your personal decision.
Even if you were inspired by someone, still your potential change needs your firm decision as a first push. This is your initial wake up call . Some weight of the burden you are used to carry around might actually drop right there, in this particular decisive moment of your determination.
If you lack motivation to find your decision for change, you just need to imagine an endlessly continuing downward spiral of the Status Quo you are in. Why downward? Because any mechanical (unconscious) repetition uses up lots of your daily energy and numbs you more and more into believing you ARE the jerk as which you appear.
Ok, suppose you made your decision. Good. While a bit frightened and insecure about what’s coming, you are eager to explore new territory. So what’s next?

Move!
On every level of your being you got to start moving. Begin running, or at least walking, or biking, or play ping pong or what have you but start moving your body on a regular basis. Otherwise your habitual Self won’t believe in your original decision. Persist.
Begin to eat healthy food. Veggies and fruits. Talk to someone about it. Bad food can ruin all of your efforts. It’s worth it. Persist.
To move your emotional self, start communicating with others. Find people, mingle at least some times per week on a regular basis. Talk about your willingness to change and/or other plans you have. Let any eventual critizism or mockery of your new developing way drip right off your skin. They have their ways, you have yours. Maybe you even engage yourself in a cause you always believed in. Volunteer. Open up. Can you do that also on the Internet? I believe it is not the same. On the internet you can hide and that doesn’t make your still timid soul believe in your newfound way of life. Persist.
Move your mind. Play. Create. Learn. Preferably all of this. Maybe in small portions but do it. Start loving what you are doing. enjoy ideas and sudden insights. Enjoy . . . and persist.
And finally: instead of moving your spirit, come to be peaceful. Peace sets free a lot of energy. Start meditating, Tai Chi, Qi Gong or anything related to energywork. There is lots out there. Find the right teacher for you, someone you respect and consider capable. Initially more anger and aggressivity than peacefulness might show up in you yet all this is temporary. Persist.
And finally: persist. Change is not manifested yet but once you start to energize yourself on all levels of your One Being you may consider your direction: where do you want to go? Which is when the fun really gets going!
