Canadian Filmmaker Isabelle Raynauld did this documentary about the latest consciousness research. It shows how complex the issue actually is and how passionate researchers work together with monks, nuns and ‘normal’ people to record evidence for states of extraordinary consciousness. Very well worth your time if you’re interested in this field:
